Description
Located on the site of the former water pumping station for the Colmar basin, the Museum preserves the industrial heritage linked to the activities of the City Factories (drinking water, gas lighting, electric power and public transportation). On entering the 1884 building, you travel back in time a hundred years. The thread of this industrial venture, witness to the know-how of men, the history of their labor and their roots, is nothing but the improvement in standards of living for the inhabitants of Colmar during the 19th and 20th centuries.
