The animals of our forests. Alsace possesses a forest cover as vast as diversified. An east-west cup of our region would create this variety bringing to light a big floral biodiversity entailing a bigger animal biodiversity. Alsace is indeed the only region of France where can observe 5 species of ungulates: the deer, the roe deer, the deer, and the chamois and prolific wild boar. Certainly we can regret certain human actions: almost eradication of the magnificent Rhenish alluvial forests, the division of the forest of Hardt, plantations of monocultures of conifer, cups to white … It remains nevertheless that our region still possesses beautiful forests. Uncountable are the tales having for frame of forests, dark and disturbing at once, haunted by evil genius and in which one hides the big bad wolf! The forests of our region are at the origin of stories, for the some sincere, for one the other mythical, but were quite integrated into our heritage. This exhibition has for objectives to make you discover in some paintings of the major aspects of this wealth and to bring you to ask questions quite at once on the animals which compose her as well as on their preservation. It also has for ambition to supply you with elements of reflection and from there to bring you to want to go on the ground to discover it a life which will swamp you with happiness. We shall also help you there thanks to the conferences and to the conducted tours which are already programmed all year round on 2012.
